Recommend killing a couple of hours surfing the Ultimate ST and Rally pictures threads.

A close look will show you what you are looking for. From my understanding scheel used to advertise that it’s 400 was the most used navigator seat at Monte Carlo. The back story being that the driver and navigator would switch seats on the very Long transit stages; the seat would recline and allow the driver to take a nap. There is a pic somewhere of Bjorn Waldegard in a 911 right hand seat doing just that — pillow and all.

Btw. I have a very nice Scheel 400 4 Sale

I guess the homologation forms will clearly list the seats.

    Not much to see

Here I see a hint of Scheel

this seems to be a Recaro Sport as Passenger

Definetely a Recaro Headrest but the only period pic with a Headrest - none of the others had one

I do not know whether this is a period picture but I doubt it

Recaro/Recaro 1972 Monte pretty OLD recaros - as said take what best fits your butt as the drivers back then did

    Scheel/Scheel

    Scheel

Sorry to revive an older thread. Any one know what is correct for a 71/72 2.5ST? The Scheel or Recaro - or was it choice of the driver? Looking for the period correct option!
