    bump to my question

in 68 the thin metall fabrication was done by baur company in stuttgart for porsche.
they had to fabricate the chassis for the R type.
We do know fenders, hoods, gauge panelboard, and else parts being fabricated with 0.7/.08 mm metal.

But where the ??? could this thin metall edition could have taken place in 68 in a TARGA?

We just got to get the Hausmitteilung from 28th May 68 - there probably everything will be explained.

@Haul why not trying a short call at the archive? They might be curious as well.
