according to my records 96047x was the original engine of this beauty. I wonder what BHCC based their 'matching numbers' on. on the other hand, as Hugh already hinted, they do not specify exactly what numbers are matching so they have a way out. Be careful out there.

IT never ceases to amaze me about BHCC, its as if they go out of their way to come up with the worst cars possible and then ask the most absurd prices for them. I am just astounded by these guys!

I do love the boilerplate language on the ebay listings...

"If you are the lucky winner of this auction, you will be extremely pleased. Our cars are always in great shape and attract a lot of attention on the road, so much attention; they rarely make it to eBay due to sales through informal offers."

I'm pretty confident this car would attract a lot of attention if you could get it on the road.

What is more astounding is that they actually sell a lot of cars. Not sure of the accuracy, but I've read quite a few positive reviews from onlookers. I don't know how they sell these cars, but they do.

From what I have heard they tend to ask ridiculous prices then fold under negotiation. They like to deal. They move a lot of product and have eyes all over the country making the deals. Their online descriptions are laughable but I think they are also in on the joke. I actually sold a car to Alex Manos a couple of years back and he was extremely professional, knew his stuff and did not waste my time. He came, he saw, he paid, he left. I was happy. For some guys, having to not deal with picture collectors, guys who need to ask their wives first and rivet counters is a blessing.

I was curious and went to see the car yesterday! as expected the bottom is completely gone that they could not put it on lift for undercarriage pics! I asked if there was any COA to confirm the matching number but there was not any ! what would be a reasonable price for this car understanding the sever rust, possible non matching engine and etc?
    thanks kevin

considering you will need 80-100k to make it right and to then end up with a non matching car... i'd say 50k is top dollar. And i think i am being pretty generous.

non numbers matching car but with correct 67S running gear would be approx 50k range.

It is missing alot of valuable parts which keep the price down.
