Pre 73 Sports seat fabric alcatara

Hello, does anyone know if sport seats came covered in this alcantara (alcantara) suede type fabric, from factory?
Or is it obvious to anyone that these have been recovered?
I don't want to mess with these if they came this way.
These aren't for sale. They are not double lockers.
    Thanks for any help.
    Scott
