2.7 RS Spec engine from Rothsport hits the dyno

Rothsport Racing just completed a 2.7 MFI engine for one of my latest projects.
Here it is in all it's glory.

Began with a 2.4 T MFI engine with the 7R case.
    Completely rebuilt/renewed.
    Sourced a set of NOS Mahle 2.7 8.5:1 pistons/cylinders.
Webcam modified the existing cams to S/RS spec.
Heads and valves upgraded to S/RS spec.
Racing valve springs and Ti keepers.
    4 rib oil pump
    Stoddard high efficiency oil cooler
    Carrera pressure fed chain tensioners
Obviously all new gaskets, seals, etc.
MFI pump rebuilt and upgraded by MFI Werks (Mark Jung) to 2.7 RS spec.
Plastic velocity stacks bored out to correct ID.
Throttle bodies upgraded to S/RS spec by Burnham Performance; also they recurved the distributor to RS.
    Pertronix magnetic points were added.
High output ignition coil and matching solid state CDI box from Partsklassic.
Damon Series 900 amber fan shroud.
    Mark Motshagen refinished fan/fan housing.
    Clewett spark plug wires.
Customized 914-6 engine sheet metal....clue where the engine is destined to reside.
    1-5/8" headers
    Single outlet Dansk sport exhaust.
Majority of the re-plating handled by Shaun at Tru-6.

    Dyno run on Facebook:

Engine made 224.8 peak hp with 190 ft-lb torque.
Well in line with factory figures.
Engine starts up on a dime and has a very nice idle.
The sport exhaust sounds awesome as the engine revs to redline.

A "well done" to Jeff Gamroth, Scott and the rest of the engine building crew at Rothsport.

Might try that Facebook link again. It's not producing anything for me. I'd like to see the engine run.

    A bit of history.
    Original condition of engine.
    Was sourced from Australia.

Teardown showed a nice mouse nest on top of the cylinders.
Maybe he got frequent flyer miles from the big trip across the pond?

Everything disassembled by me, boxed up and ready to head to Rothsport's shop late last summer.

Here's a couple of videos on Vimeo.

1st is the engine running about 2000rpm, running it in, and checking each spark plug as to timing. Found that with the Pertronix, a couple of the cylinders were off
a bit. A degree advanced or retarded. Not sure if we'll try to get a better manufactured Pertronix rotor or not. Doesn't seem to affect the performance of the engine.

    2nd of the dyho run.

Hope these video links work better than the Facebook one....

Unknown, just a set Rothsport had in the shop to use on the dyno since the 914-6 HE's wouldn't fit.
