    10,000 rpm porsche tachometer, can anyone help?

    Hi all, can anyone advise me what this tachometer would have originally come out of and what its worth, its a 10,000 rpm, part number 901 741 302 06, dated 02/1972, also has the following groups of numbers 12v/24000imp and 6zyl/4.1kt and 230/41/8Name:  911 gauges 2.jpg

    If what Armando writes is correct, and I don't doubt it. What you have there is a reproduction.

    The date is way too late to be from a R but the real tell is the 24000imp.

    Thanks, ok, well thought it might be the real deal but sounds like its not, it just came out of my race car as we have switched to a 996 twin turbo engine/transmission, so i dont require it anymore, if its of interest to anyone please contact me and make an offer.

    You have a factory "Sports purposes" tach; it likely has no redline, or a redline applied externally. Porsche offerred these well into the '70's with the 901 part #. PM me, and I'll tell you how to verify this, plus give you it's value.
