I just got this call today. Guy says "I am looking for any imported car, Porsche, Mercedes, Ferrari" So I say "Oh yeah? I have those. What price range? A dollar or a hundred thousand dollars?" He says "I dont know... any where from forty thousand to eighty thousand" I say "Oh okay then... I have a 1970 280SL, interested?" He says "sure" so I say "$100k" and he says "Well thats retail..." so I say "Sure, why would I sell you a car for less than retail ~ when I can sell it for retail?" He says "No, I don't want to pay retail, I am just looking for a project" So I say "Oh a project... I dont have one of those. I do have a 1973 targa... 20k original miles. Original paint. How about $100k for it?" He then says "your a dreamer" and hangs up.

Well damn. That is what I get for talking with him. I guess I should have talked wholesale money with some stranger that just happened to call my number about cars. How could I have not known that?
