Thread: Windshield Sources

  1. #11
Frank, even if I had N.O.S. glass, I wouldn't put them in my car. I drive it too much,,,,went through two windshields in two years, both broken on trips to Ca. Hmnnnn,,,maybe a message there ??? N.O.S. should be saved for show cars that never see the road.

Thanks Ed, I think I'm on my 10th windshield in 40 some years, most of the last ones have been whatever I could get from my glass place locally but no one has them anymore. I'll get Bob to pop the Stoddard one in. I have Hagerty, the chip is on the passenger side, would they pay for replacement?

I was talking to somebody a few years ago, can't remember who, but they said there is somebody who sells unmarked windshields and they can etch whatever logo you want on them. Anybody else hear of this? I have an original windshield but it's like a '66 or '67 vintage and my cars a '72 so not correct technically.

They carry a full tint windshield (no upper tint band) and will ship.

I have never had a customer return a Chinese made windshield for fit issues or any other reason.

    Ciao

PS: I am no longer selling any windshields so I really don't have a dog in this fight. Just relating personal experience.
