'. . . Chassis 304530 is an original LHD car delivered new to Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville, Florida on 12 May 1966, one of only 1,709 911s produced that year, finished in Silver with black leatherette interior.

With the highly-regarded Brumos dealership continuing to oversee the car’s maintenance, it was registered to third owner Gustave Anderson Jr of Savannah, Georgia on 29 March 1972, with a recorded mileage of 51,918 that year, and remained with Mr Anderson for the next 46 years. Thought to have been put into storage in 1990 and remaining untouched, the car was purchased and recommissioned by early 911 specialist Don Ahearn and imported to the UK in July 2018.

Believed never to have been apart, and displaying the wonderful patina of its faded paintwork, the car still retains its original mechanical components and boasts a number of highly-prized early 911 features, as well as a rare set of genuine American Racing magnesium wheels, its ‘Brumos’ number plate frame and Sports Car Club of America badge

That is a killer car for certain. You can not replicate the patina. Look for a feature in Classic Porsche shortly.

This is a great example of foreign currency f..k up.
For those interested,, check out what the "cable' rate was on the 1st of May this year. ( cable being the name of $British pound to $USD)
Whom ever the English mastermind was that bought cannot even cover his costs after shipping , tax and re licensing if he paid near the 'ask'

    Go figure,,

I knew I recognized the car when we were at Luftgekuhlt in England. I couldn't place where I had seen it though. Lots of great patina.

NZVW is assuming that the car was sold back in the USA for its posted ask price. The assumption is that the car was bought for $150k, and after transport costs to the UK, import taxes, and MOT and registration costs, that the car cost the current owner way more than his current GBP 130.000 ask price. That may be true. remember, for someone to make money, someone else has to lose it.

Indeed. That's at today's exchange rate. On 1 May, 130 GBP equalled 178 USD. I'm still not sure what's so obviously wrong with the trade
