Fundraiser on Saturday 4-21 Torrance: Cars and Coffee and Karting

For those in the South Bay coming for Luftgekühlt 5

There will be a Fundraiser for R Gruppe member Rob Amick at K1 Speed in Torrance. 9-11 am
Proceeds from your racing will be donated to Rob. Rob was diagnosed with a rare from of cancer. He had his right arm amputated just below his elbow. He is fighting the fight to prevent the spread to his lymph nodes and lungs.

K1 will be opening early for us.

During his fight, Rob was let go from his employer and lost his health insurance. He lives in Palm Desert with his wife and 2 sons. His cancer treatment is at UCLA Medical Center.

So, if you are coming to Luft 5, please come by Saturday morning for Cars and Coffee and Karting for a Great cause.

    More details coming..

    Ray,
    Thank you for posting.

Rob Amick is the nicest, most genuine guy I have ever met. A true friend to many with a generous heart of gold.
We will be making the trek to the coast from Durango for this event.

Thorsten Klein, well known Porsche Designer and So Cal Chapter member of R Gruppe, wanted to contribute to the cause and help out with this Fundraiser for Rob.

We have all seen and recognized Thorsten's work on many Porsche designs..The Panamera, 718, Mission E, and others he cannot say YET.

Thorsten has drawn this sketch to donate to the cause. He and his wife Doris will be at K1. Probably do a live auction after the racing. If anyone else would like to contribute their special skill or items, to help raise some dollars for Rob, It will be appreciated.

We will be at the event as well.
We'd also like to donate a signed, limited edition giclee art piece to the cause.
    See everyone there.
