Pretty sure BMW mirrors work as well, from E9 to E24. They also have type stamps on them though.

I should probably add... Good luck finding an original 67"S" mirror, they are hens teeth.

And bump for a good guy's mirror!

Thx Eric and to all for ‘how to make one work with other parts’ but this one is original and there is someone looking for original and not a bastardized one. Yes. It’s old and has all the typical wear. It works perfectly and will work for someone. It’s what I would want in my unmolested 67S. Cheers!

What about the top of windscreen, rearview mirrors in the 1967 912? Are they the same as the 1967 911s? Also, is there a company out there that will rechrome and install a new mirror?

JackMan, No to all of your questions (unless there is a company I don't know about).

    Eric,

I was told that some 67S came with the 68 style mirror head late in production (the version with the knob at the end of the day/night switch). Have you ever heard that? There was on on eBay awhile back that looked nice, very expensive, but had the 68 head on a 67 stem with the seller stating it was an original combination.

    Thanks,

    Jim
