    FS: @Maxted-Page - '73 RSL RHD . . .

    VIN = 9113601101
    Eng# = 6631068
    Trans# ?
    Prod# = ?

    '. . . One of 17 UK RHD (M471) Porsche Carrera 2.7 RS Lightweights - Manufactured by Porsche in Stuttgart, West Germany in April 1973 and finished in Tangerine with options: (220) Limited-slip differential and (423) Outside mirror, driver’s side.

    First registered DWV 911L in the UK in May 1973 and delivered new to Shaun Jackson. The car was then purchased five months later by Englishman, Brian Evans, who rallied the car at International level in the Irish Tarmac Rally Series throughout 1974, 1975 and 1976 . . .

    . . . the car was sold in 1976 to Chris Morris who used it for some years before it was involved in a road accident and put into storage. Porsche specialists, Autofarm, then purchased it in crashed form in 1982 and repaired it for the fourth owner, Ronald Horsey and painted it in Grand Prix White.

    Autofarm, once again, purchased the car in 1988 and this time carried out a bare metal restoration to its original colour of Tangerine and also carried out a complete mechanical overhaul, before supplying the car to its next owner Richard Colton in December of 1988. Richard Colton retained the car for some twenty-two years and as the history file shows, had periodic maintenance carried out by either Autofarm or Neil Bainbridge throughout his long ownership period.

    The car was last sold in 2010 to its present owner who commissioned a further, comprehensive restoration which has recently been completed. This work involved a complete strip, repair and re-assembly of the entire body-shell, fitting where necessary correct replacement OEM (0.8 gauge -lightweight) steel body panels and a fresh overhaul of all mechanical components. The car retains its matching-numbers, type 911/83 - engine case, number: 6631068, which has also been stripped and freshly rebuilt . . .

    9113601101 . . .

    . . . now @Hexagon . . .

    '. . . BLOOD ORANGE
    1 OF ONLY 17 RHD CARS
    1 OF ONLY 2 BLOOD ORANGE LIGHTWEIGHTS

    There is a very strong case to be made for the 2.7 RS Lightweight being the greatest 911 ever made. Paul Frere, Le Mans 24-hour winner and former Formula 1 drive described the 2.7 RS as “the most desirable collectors car of all. And, in terms of driving pleasure, the best 911 of all time.”

    Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer one of the finest Porsche 2.7 RS Lightweights in existence. Chassis number 9113601101 is one of just 17 RHD lightweights produced and is one of only two delivered new in blood orange.

    The car was supplied new by Dick Lovett Porsche but after only three months was traded back to Lovetts before being bought and shipped over to Ireland where its illustrious and extraordinary history really began. With the car there is an extensive and highly detailed history outlining every inch of the car’s life. The car was subjected to a complete re-build in the 1980’s by renowned specialists, Autofarm. The car was once again completely re-built in 2016 by Maxted Paige Ltd. The car is still in an incredible condition that really needs to be seen to be believed.

    The car is presented as it was when it left the factory. A viewing of the car and detailed look and read through the history file cannot be recommended highly enough. We have not come across a 2.7 RS here at Hexagon that is presented in greater condition
