    Porsche ...... F1 with fenders

Pretty amazing how fast these cars really are.

If you're really observant, you can see where the rear flap flips/changes from "maximum" downforce to "minimal" downforce when the car hits the straightaway.
    Very cool.

Sounds unbelievable, great aero....what else could you want?

Maybe it is “F1 with fenders” but I would argue that no F1 car would finish one of the WEC races without needing a pit stop for a full power train replacement - all components of the engine plus probably the gearbox

It is in the public domain that several of the more recently successful endurance racing teams from some OEMs have drawn significantly on F1 capabilities in a number of ways. While obviously the specifics and extent are subject to strict Non Disclosure Agreements, like the tip of the iceberg there are hints to what is not publicly revealed:

For example this comment about the Porsche in Racecar Engineering...

The flywheel hybrid power system was used in the successful Audi ...

In my experience various OEMs have been using these F1 capabilities to enhance their endurance racing agenda for a while

The current Williams museum and conference centre at grove was originally used for the successful Le Mans programme.

It's a shame that Williams is doing so badly as an F1 team...
