    Porsche Saudi Arabia 1970

    Guys

a long shot - I am researching a 914-6 that went to Saudi Arabia new in 1970
I am trying to find who were the sales outlet there around 1970
does anyone have a ROW dealership listing - the maroon booklet - for 1970 for the middle east area
a scan of the page if possible would be helpful to this project
the car was made in June 1970 and was subsequently sold in Melbourne in February 1972

    TIA
    Dennis
1970 914-6 - materialised from the 'Lotto' garage into reality
    1971 2.2 911 S - now back in the UK - sob!
1975 Carrera Targa (ROW) - missed.
One of us is fast becoming a valuable antique.

i have one dated 1/71. it came with my 73E so I dont think there were many changes in that time.
It does not have a Saudi entry but does have:

Kuwait Behbehani Motors Company P O box 4222 Kuwait
Bahrain Importer Morad Yousuf Behbehani P O box 168 Bahrain
Jordan Motor Trade Co Station road PO Box 299 Amman

looks like the first two are the same people and maybe Jordan is a bit far away but certainly more likely than the one in Israel :-)

It is quite possible that anyone from Saudi Arabia ordered the car direct from the factory or through a German dealer
the entries are on 3 different pages
i can scan at the weekend if you like

PS what weekend are you in Melbourne

Most of these guys would airship their cars back to the Werk 1 for service.
