    Air cleaner question

I saw this photo online. Help me understand the point of this, seems to me it wouldn’t allow any air into the air cleaner. I must be missing something

I’m guessing it has the front opened up.

Then again maybe that’s his anti theft device?

I've seen a picture of the SCRS rally car where the intake opening was at the firewall side, I assume to try and pick up cleaner air.

The pix is a real SCRS, so that's the way it is. Gordon

Nice Gordon. High butterfly should have been a tell.
I need to get a larger iPhone.

I'm interested to see the braid-wrapped spark plug cables. I thought that they were a fix for misfiring to protect the airbox on CIS cars, so they would be out of place on a mechanical injection car. Can anyone explain?

Even though the SCRS was built on a 84 Turbo look chassis, it was supposed to be a 3.0 configured SC. 84 3.2's had new molded ignition wiring over the fan housing and I guess they just grabbed old 3.0 plug wires for the 3.0L racing project. Gordon
