Excellent, low mileage Bahia Red 1972 Porsche 914 with a clean title in my name. This is a highly optioned 914 that comes with appearance group, chrome bumpers, center arm rest, aluminum alloy Pedrini wheels, center padded "arm rest", storage compartment in front of shift lever, rear window defogger, leather steering wheel, tan and black interior and fog lights.

I estimate that this car has about 50,000 miles and I have some documentation for that but it is not complete. Certainly judging by the condition and the low wear to the interior, seats, carpet, steering wheel and the running condition this is a low mileage car. Also this 914 still has the original colored vacuum and emissions hoses in the engine compartment and the original VW logo’d windshield.

This car was purchased new in Idaho until it was purchased by the second owner and moved to dry Visalia (near Fresno) California sometime around 1975. The second owner kept the car in a garage and drove it sparingly for the next 40 something years. I purchased this Porsche in February with the intention of detailing it top to bottom and then selling it. I drove this 914, 750 miles from Fresno back to Portland and it ran and drove like a champ!

This 914 is as rust free as you are probably ever going to find, I’ve had several excellent 914’s over the years and this one is remarkable and the best! There is no rust, even problem areas such as the “hell hole” and battery tray are in great shape.
In the recent past the original transmission was removed and a great shifting and superior side shifter transmission and shift mechanisms were added, including new shift bushings. The sale includes the transmission currently installed in the car and the original transmission which is clean and will be carefully packed into the front trunk for shipping which is in fact how I drove it back from California.

This Porsche 914 runs and drives great and looks fantastic, it is ready to be used and enjoyed now, just in time for summer!
Comes complete with the original owner’s manual, dealer stamped warranty book, key card with key code, tool kit, 3 keys, spare wheel and tire, jack, 5 date matched Pedrini wheels, date matched steering wheel, some receipts and the personalized and unexpired California license plates. Also I just installed a brand new battery.

This exceptional Porsche 914 is in Portland, Oregon zip code 97217. $18,975 (new lower price 6-5-18 )

On Ebay with a $17,500 start price and no reserve, 6-7-14 https://www.ebay.com/itm/372328011588

Actually 80 din (German HP) so probably more like 85 or so US HP. I've driven 1.7, 1.8 and 2.0 and they are hard to tell apart, seat of the pants is very similar. The 1.7 has 8.2:1 compression and the 2.0 which is only 10% larger displacement has lower compression at 7.6:1. The cool thing about a 72 is first year for movable passenger seat, inertia reel seat belts and last year for all chrome bumpers without rubber bumper guards.
