    1969 912 reSee Works Build

New project at the Metal Surgeon: a 1969 912 which will essentially be outlawed with aluminum components, some handmade, and some bought. Original steel mildly customized to aid mechanical air flow. The drive train will be a custom form, this is where we'll let the project manager chime in: Chris Pomares.
Here's a few original shots of the project before disassembly.

That looks like a damn near perfect 912 that doesn't need anything!

It's a 1969 52,000 mile car that's going back to it's original Ultra Blue color. The owner who is part of this community want's to keep it a 4 cylinder car. It will get a small bump in displacement from 1.6 to 2.7 POLO. As Jon does his thing, the rest of the car is being refurbished. Window trim to True6, gauges to Seattle Speedometer, transmission upgrade, (Wavetrac TBD, different gears, all new bearings, etc.). Elephant Racing stuff, Rebel Racing stuff, brakes to PMB (vented M rear, vented ATE Euro 323iS front, cryoed rotors), etc., etc.
