Great idea using a 660cc lump... more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. Wasn't the original Seven powered by an 1100cc Ford?

Series 1 had a Ford 105 engine, which I think is under 1000cc. Other options included the BMC A engine and the Coventry Climax.

I have a Series 2 with a Ford Kent 1500. 50 mph feels like 90. They are really fun and relatively inexpensive. Not a car to be driving any distance though.1420.jpg

An really early tuned car seems like as much fun you can have on a road, not braking the law too much

Ivan is always interesting to chat with whenever I run into him and has some quirky cars
