It does get complicated Karim, but I agree and now think there are three not four versions. Suspect we have found examples of them now thanks to Bob. In fact I've just bought what I hope is a 72 ROW example like Bob's for £20 but it hasn't arrived yet so not sure it isn't just duplicate of one of my 73 versions. I have to be careful I don't start collecting Porsche brochures just because of curiosity.

We haven't covered the technical inserts for these luxury brochures yet. I have two versions of those inserts -- one being being North American and other rest of world versions that are both later 73 to match the 73 glossy brochures I own. These are quite large trifold and nicely done with quite thick good quality paper. Don't know if these were different for earlier version ...or maybe the vw Porsche one was just carried over to later. Although not rare compared to other stuff these white brochure are nice quality brochures.

The two page foldout cheaper brochure versions of same era are easier as the cover has different colour 72 vs 73. Don't recall if I have a 72 version of same. I certainly have two English language versions for the 73 version one being North America and the other ROW. Similar story with the printing reference and subtle different use of language for examp,e Litre vs Liter.

Probably not applicable to this brochure, however in the past I have noticed differences in literature between Canada and the USA. Despite belonging to a fairly uniform North American market we do have differences. In Canada, at the time, we were using the imperial gallon as opposed to the USA gallon which is short a fifth; 128 fl oz vs 160 fl oz. So this means that miles per gallon fuel economy is different. Also Canada requires French language so there can be separate versions in French or a dual language piece of literature.

Over the years but especially btw 1963-1975, each year offered dozens of print materiel, several brochures printed in several languages, plus market specific items.
The 1972/73 are actually easy years, the largest output was 1970 and 1971.
Printing dates were also never uniformed and several codes existed paralell.
Here are some other markets I have, all 1972 or 1973.

Lots of variation by year and market.

Your ambition to produce the definitive literature book with examples of each document looks like it will be a mighty big tome even just to cover 911 72/3 things. I applaud it and salute your knowledge of such papers which are a great service to this community.

I'll stick to just the few RHD RS related things relevant to my own car with occasional straying into adjacency for 911 72/3 models papers like this nice white one where these documents inform on that 73 model details.

    Cheers

    Steve

I try my best, Steve. If I‘m not doing it, we never have a definite source. Working on it, we have a lead but its a little bit more complicated than I thought.

Everything takes its work behind! With the good compilation you are having, it is a matter of time before you achieve that goal! I am amazed by the amount of knowledge about this and not just the cars you have!
