    I have an authentic badge you may be interested in. Some of the commentary of this badge is included in LongRanger’s detailed tome, as a badge I purchased at the track in 1993, and posted on in 2010.
    I have it pictured beside another badge for comparison which I believe is a replica badge.
    The authentic badge is on the right in each photo - notice the different placement of the A. Donner Wuppertal stamp; the thinner edges of the genuine badge; perhaps not so evident is the more pronounced curve of the genuine badge; and as described by LongRanger the flush enamelled surface of the genuine badge compared to the raised profiles between the enamelled areas.
