The point is to use a proper carrier. As I have written in #1, the shipping costs should be around 1000USD return, you may even combine the shipping with other pals here and reduce the costs by sharing a container.
Shipping insurance would be key too and on top of the shipping price.
Am not sure about time it gets, but seems to be around 2 weeks oversea travel - I guess you would need to add paperwork, brining the car to the port. Most of the shipping companies do bi-weekly transport.

I will contact shipping companies to get more precise information such as what is needed for temporary shipping etc..
Please read post #1 as I do update it often.

    Cheers

Xavier, how about extending the trip to the Nurburgring and/or Spa? Is that a possibility?

    Serge,

I had a look, Spa is 5h00 drive north-west from Stuttgart, with no guarantee there is an event as those dates or a track day.
The green hell is 4h00 drive north from Stuttgart, and even if it is likely to get a session there, nothin sure.

If we put either Spa or the Ring on our trip, this would cause to miss Schlumpf museum and black forest which are really stunning or if we want to go adding 2 days more on the trip.

In order to make people happy, I will propose an optional road book to the Green Hell at the end of the initial trip from Mulhouse.

Sounds good to me. There is also the Train Museum in Mulhouse where our friends had their wedding reception. Very cool place
