    aftermarket items

Its all in the title: some "curious" aftermarket items on this MY 72.
Rear engine cover, double exhausts, wheels...but it does look kind of cool.

    Karim:

The flares look like STs, and I think others were playing around with ways to get air into the engine bay...like this car from Monterey, Leguna Seca in 73. It is very neat to see these old pics and the ways guys were modifying things to get more performance or just 'coolness'. Similar wheels.

    Old-time Porsche Hot Rods

Seeing some of these older modified lids reminded me of this car --- as seen at the '14 Parade in Monterey

    Wonder whatever happened to those other Old-time Hot Rod 911s? . . . .

    Guys,
I'm the current owner of this car. Came with the original engine lid too.
This scoop lid is made of metal.
    Low mileage. Mostly original paint.
    Fun car to drive.
Notice the stainless steel top in one of the photos?
I like the ss top, looks like it could have been factory.
    Well, maybe.

The PO of your car loved to bend metal. Do you still run the scoop deck lid? I would never take off that SS top if I had one. It looks awesome.
