    Ok,
I have just found the 1972 and 1973 color charts with interior on a german website :

    https://www.pff.de/porsche/index.php...g-farben-1972/

Regarding this, my real color should be the one on the dashboard as said by Peter.
Scott, are you sure your brother's interior is Brown? It should be much darker, regarding this color chart, is seems to be beige.

Hope you got what you paid for they don't have a great reputataion on this board.

I have a 73 coupe car with the same darker brown (tan) interior that you seek not the lighter brown (beige ) interior

I am pretty sure by 73 there were only 2 deluxe carpet choices salt and pepper and brown both are still available or at least very close to original copies of the carpet are available

While you can match the vinyl colour quite well it is the specific 72/73 vinyl grain that is impossible to find in either beige or tan

    Thanks Clyde,
would you have a link to an online store where I could see copies of both original carpet colors?

Regarding the car, I cross fingers, the pictures show a quite clean car (no rust except a bit on surface in the trunk, many pieces replaced, same owner since 2002). A lot of original options (like front fog lights which are unique on 73 because they have a chrome grid instead of black, comfort pack, etc...) , the injection was replaced with Weber carburators which I like, a stainless steel exhaust, matching numbers (I have the Porsche certificate), running engine (I have videos of the car), a few scratches on the body but nothing serious.
The price was quite attracting for a french guy like me where these kind of cars are sold between 60 and 80k€. I got it for less than 50, I'll tell you in a few weeks.

If anyone can detect problems, strange things (or great things, why not) from the picture of the car, I would be pleased, even if it is bad news :

    https://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/...rga-c-8503.htm

What I've seen util now :

    BAD
few scratched and bumps on the body
    interior mismatched colors
missing rear wiper (initial option on the car)
    missing chromes under the doors
    not original color (Olive)
Targa rubber (I don't know the name) broken on one side

    GOOD
original appearance group option (oil pressure and level, steering wheel, etc..)
    stainless steel exhaust
    weber carburators
    original front fog lights
    motor seems clean
    no rust under the car
shock absorbers seem to have been changed
original stabilizer bar (front and rear) option

Curious why Weber carbs on "good" list for 73 E?

The color of the vinyl on the dash fascia is the clue and answer...this is very difficult to change out and also seems to wear fairly well seldom needing replacement.

The car was either re-trimmed with a lighter material or another scenario was a dealer swap.....it was not uncommon for dealer to swap out seats and side trim to make a sale. The clue there would be if your seats and side/door cards were original material...the tan/brown swap was the easiest ams most common.

Your car most likely had originally a brown interior. You're in luck as the original brown Hargaarn velour is still available...the tan is not.

(first, sorry for my english, I try not to be offensive, but hard to find the good words for me).

I've been said by friends that when you start having problems with mechanical injection, it can become a real issue to find a good solution.

Sure, I would prefer to have a 100% original 911 E(inspritzung) but I prefer to have a running 911 with weber carbs that I can have fun with than a 911 with original injection impossible to get to work.

Also I've been said that weber carbs can give you a few more horse power, not sure if this is true. I would be pleased to have your point of vue.
