I have. I apply over freshly waxed paint with a squeegee and applicator liquid. If the paint is in good condition, it will peel off just fine. I did have an issue years ago when removing from an old lacquer paint job-some of the paint lifted. Buy from a reputable vendor-better vinyl and adhesive.

Looks more like the 427 to me? If THAT ones a kit, it’s a damn fine one. Have you considered the ERA Cobra’s? They make a slab side 289 as well as the 427SC. VERY close to originals, imho.
ERAs are my favorite, yes......but hard to find a used 289 FIA.....and usually very costly even used...5 yrs ago no one wanted one, now they are hot.
that pic appears to be a 289...swept back doors........maybe Superformance?.....or FF...or?......lol....its often hard to say

Its a Unique FIA, many involved with the build did the real ones back in the day. Fun car with a screaming old school 289. Always ran well on track even against the big blocks at SAAC events.

In many ways Unique and Hi Tech are similar in that not overly hyped, but often really solid well built accurate cars............
