Mike --- I have listed a couple of cars on BAT with success. Definitely get the car in the air on a lift for good underside shots. I also agree with a well executed video. I would also take some photos of the car without the black rocker deco's, so you can see the integrity of the lower body. You have to be thick skinned when you get comments from non-Porsche folks. Nice car! GLWS.

    Hi Mike,

I have sold several cars via BaT, with good success. You did a great thing with the still photos and I would also highly encourage videos. I would suggests 3. A very quick cold start video, a "walk around" video and lastly a good driving video. (You can submit them as the auction rides along, but the earlier the better.) These really, really help on BaT. A friend of mine, Jason from Denwerks Vintage Car Shop, is probably the number one best seller on the site. His auction postings are something to learn from, I still am.

Like someone mentioned already, have thick skin. DO NOT engage the nit pickers and P car haters. I've seen it just destroy many auctions on there, in spite of a great car. At the very least, you'll have a hard time resisting using sarcasm towards the inevitable comments from those known to "comment first-read second."

You have a great car there, and it should do very well. If you stay engaged, answer questions and keep a cool head it will.

I posted a couple of new videos on bring a trailer for everyone to see:

I really hate selling this car it was a life long dream, I used drive by a silver 914-6 back in 1981 that was for sale for $10,000 near my town and wished I could afford to buy it, every day I drove by that car. Who ever gets this car they will be very happy, I had it at Road America last summer and was hoping to have Frank Beck see it but he ran into some issues with one of his cars and was super busy. This car is a very solid #2 and for what my reserve is somebody is going to steal this car. Frank if you notice no "Gray Hair" in the video but I do have the readers on!

To me this picture says it all!
