Latest intel on orange bar hood crest reproductions?

    G'day folks,

Today I experienced the downside of the Get Out And Drive spirit. I went for a wonderful run through the Australian bush with about 30 other Porsches . . . that was the good part. But at some point during the drive the original Porsche hood crest fell off my 71S. Sh*t!

I'm not in the mood to pay thousands of dollars for a NOS crest, so I wondered if anyone has strong views on who is currently making the best repro? Past threads seem to indicate that the $75 AASE repro is better than the $185 "genuine" one being sold by Porsche Classic. Sierra Madre and Stoddard also offer a repro . . . I've no idea whether it's the same as the AASE product.

I bought the Aase several months ago.
I understand depending on which run you get they vary.

Sorry to hear so would drive back and restrace......check points at pot holes, sharp turns and bumpy Parts.
Perhaps you would find hope so.

    Hi Nick

Sorry to hear about the badge. I’ve got an original available for £200GBP plus any costs. Lots of patina, looks like it’s been lying in the bush for a year or two but everything there.

    Regards
