    1969 Targa Florio 911S

I’m assisting a friend in restoring the 1968 911S that was Porsche’s first car to win the Nurburgring 24 Hours race and placed 3d in class, 13th overall, at the 1969 Targa Florio. Car was owned/driven by privateer Eberhard Sindel.

At the 1968 Nurburgring 24 hours, the car was co-driven by Dr. Dieter Benz. The car participated in several ADAC races in 1968 and 1969, including the following events:
    1. Hockenheim July 1968 and July 1969
    2. Imola September 1968 and September 1969
    3. Zolder October 1969
    4. 1000KM Nurburgring June 1969
    5. Ulm-Laupheim July 1969
    6. Nurburgring August 1969
    7. 1000KM Zeltweg August 1969
    8. 500KM Nurburgring September 1969
    9. Saltzburgring October 1969
    10. Hockenheim October 1969
    11. Neubiberg October 1969

Attached are photos of the car from the 1969 Targa Florio and the October 1969 Saltzburgring race. Any additional information about the car, the driver and its participation in the above referenced events (entry lists, results, photos, car number) would be much appreciated.

You can contact me at 626-664-9063. Thanks, Alex
