    Banjo Horn Question

O'k I need some advice on Banjo Horns.I bought a set that were working.I took them apart, cleaned and repainted, taped the insides off so no parts were painted. The short one works fine. The long one only makes a noise like its trying to honk.I made correct paper gaskets .I have tried to rearrange the brass washers,no change.I have also read the threads on restoring the bosch round horns, which are close. All of the electrical specs are in tolerance.Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks David

Make sure you have a freshly charged battery to test with. A weak battery will not “honk” the horn. I learned this the hard way.

I have tried the tuning screw and used a strong battery. The ohms were in spec from the bosch horn restoration thread.I have also changed the brass washers. No difference.Any more ideas.

Once you clean the contact areas, the tuning screw does the rest, it looks like you should be in good shape....
