    Wiper Arm Cap Nut

Referencing Wiper Arm Cap Nut for 1970 911T

What color is the cap nut?

    Black or Natural Silver.

I have a friend with an very original one owner, he says Silver
    Another says Black
Stoddard lists two, 65-67 and then 1970 and beyond

So what do the experts say?
    Thanks

1966 was silver, and I think this changed in 1967 to black...

I believe it was Black also.
And “raise you” - I think it was 1968 when the nut changed to black along with the wiper arms.
My ‘67 had silver wiper arms with silver nut.

Black. Wasn't it a DOT thing to reduce glare from the wiper arms, introduced for M/Y 1968 at the same time the parked position was changed to be in front of the driver so that the first movement of the blade would actually clear water from the windshield directly before the driver. Cap nuts were changed to black at the same time the arms went from silver to black.

Yes, that was my understanding too. Thanks for confirming!
