Max and I honored the veterans with the scouts planting new flags on the graves, it was a good teaching moment for the scouts.

Just learned today of a comment my still-thriving 95 year old father, a WWII vet and Battle of the Bulge P.O.W. survivor, made. He told my brother not a day goes by that he doesn't think about his buddy, John Nailor, killed in an escape they attempted at the end of the war. And that he feels guilt for surviving when his buddy didn't. In other words, for those most affected, every day is Memorial Day. Very humbling, we have much to be grateful for, and much to memorialize. Bless 'em all.
