    Hood badge question

    hello folks

    first time poster here

    i have a 71 Targa S

    and I wanted to replace the hood emblem

    i have read a lot of debate

    but wanted to ask

    what's the best one to get

    i am assuming i should go porsche official part

    pelican seems to have them for like 180?

    but do i want red or orange ?

    help

    A 71S targa deserves a correct badge an as far as Iím concerned a repro badge wonít cut it but thatís just me.


    Im beginning to gather enough evidence that suggests a mid range original badge (69-71) is one of the best quality and looks like this.





    Itís got a number of differences to the earlier and later longhood badges.


    The one on the left here is a later badge, maybe 72-73, and the one on the right is 69-71
    ish.

    The one I posted would work, unless you plan on taking it off to show each Concours judge...

    It sure would do the job Peter, it sure would do the job.......... but not for me, and I’ve never been to a concours in my life.
