    BaT Description:

This 1967 Porsche 911S coupe was built on November 25, 1966 and is equipped with a carbureted 2.7L flat-six mated to a 5-speed manual transaxle. The car has been extensively modified for track use, including a close-ratio gear set, MSD electronic ignition, a fuel cell, fire-suppression system, and a half roll cage. It was reportedly raced for approximately 20 years by its previous owner before being acquired by the seller two years ago. Subsequent work included a repaint in Signal Yellow with black stripes, as well as the installation of ST seats, RS-style door panels and carpets, Cibie fog lights, and much more as outlined below. This SWB 911S is now being offered for sale with a Kardex, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean Nebraska title in the seller’s name.

Originally finished in Bahama Yellow, the car was repainted Signal Yellow by its previous owner and refreshed by the seller. Painted black stripes and Porsche side script decals were added, along with new headlights, buckets, and 911R-style taillights. A custom-fabricated rear deck lid grille and fuel trim ring were also added, along with louvered acrylic rear vent windows, a replacement front windshield, and rear window hold-down strips. Polished 15×6” Fuchs wheels wear Pirelli tires with glued-on yellow lettering. Additional equipment includes hood-mounted Cibie fog lamps, drilled chrome door handles, and brushed nickel deck lid badging.

ST seats are trimmed in black and feature corduroy inserts and REPA reproduction latch-and-link seat belts. Dynamat sound deadening was added to the floors and rear deck. RS-style door panels, lightweight salt-and-pepper carpets, and a half roll-cage have also been installed, and the rear seats, stereo, and HVAC controls have been removed. A MOMO Prototipo steering wheel fronts an AutoMeter 9k-rpm tachometer and a 150-mph speedometer. 35k miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer, fewer than 1,000 of which were added by the seller.

The carbureted 2.7-liter flat-six is equipped with MSD electronic ignition and a simplified wiring harness. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle fitted with a close-ratio gear set. A Rothsport Racing oil check valve was recently installed by the seller. A Fuel Safe fuel cell and fire suppression system are located in the front trunk, while a custom aluminum housing covers the ignition system mounted in the rear seat area. The seller notes the presence of dents in the floor pan and describes squeaky polyurethane suspension bushings.

The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and Kardex lists the completion date, as well as the factory colors and equipment.
