    would it work? yes. Would it have been an "correct" in '66? No. This would've been proper for an early '60s 356. If I remember correctly, the TG was a hybrid radio and was for 59-61? and then the TR came out in '61-64?. Becker was pretty proud of the fact that they had a fully transistorized radio.

    I could be wrong but I believe I learned that from either the US becker people (in NJ) or Black Forest
    Porsche taste on a Volkswagen budget...

    So did the Transistorized TR require a power pack? That 7-pin plug looks like it might have plugged into a power pack.
