Ignition switch bezel change from small to large bezel?

    Hallo experts,
restoring my 302485 I´m not sure whether the small or large ignition switch bezel is right. Looking in the threads there is no exact VIN range for the change mentioned. The chassis is the old one without adjustable struts and the waterbag in the fender.
Does the old chassis correspond with the small bezel?
The car was first delivered to California.

    Greetings

It would help if you post a picture of your ign switch. That should give a good clue as to which bezel was used. My guess is that your car came with a locking switch which would have ben equipped with a brass bezel with a flat round plastic base.

Based on the photos that I have collected it seems to be a 1965/1966 model year change that includes the change from straight knee pad to the U shaped one and paint code from 64xx to 66xx. This is still not exact, but perhaps a guide. Photo documentation is useful.

Hello Anke, I have 302470 with the larger bezel. I also have the non-adjustable struts and water bag in the fender.

Hallo Jim, Dave and VA Alfa,
thank you for your help. Unfortunately I´m in holidays in Turkey and I can´t send a foto of the switch, but probably it is the large breeze I need. Because we only have the small brass bezel at the moment, we will use this one and change it later when we find the right one. Are there any good repros?

    Thank you. Kind regards.
