    Door seal mounted correctly

    Just saw my viperngreen for an half hour yesterday after body work was completed.

    It looked like they mounted the lip profile door sealing 90 degree of: the lip shows inside the door opening and not to the door.

    That's how I think they should be mounted. Sorry do not have my workshop books mobile available.

    If I understand your description correctly, yes, they have mounted the seal incorretly. The "lip" profile as you call it, and have "door" written by it in your photo, should indeed be the surface contacting the door frame along the profile's long flat edge. You can imagine how this will allow this part to collapse to the extent needed for a seal around the entire frame (at least that was the idea with this design).

    Wow , I've seen these seals installed incorrectly several times ,so not uncommon , but your drawing is correct .

    That's the door threshold.
    I can't see other way to install the seal.

    That's correct, incoming air would tend to push flap tighter against the door.

    Now I understand why the bodyshop mounted them the wrong way.
    This story ended up that I used the hollow type to seal the doors properly.
    No chance to get the doors closed having the lip style seals installed correctly.
    The lower part is tight, the upper part (window area) is miles away. Removed the door stop, door latch, loosen the door hing bolts....... haven´t found a solution

    Don´t know why.

    Ok. Those are SWB door seal.

    Any 72 seals on the market?
