    Need help on removing gear from speedometer

    This is a 76 speedometer where the odometer stopped working. On the surface the gears looks fine, but I am thinking the stripped out part is hidden. To remove the gear looks, at least to me, that the brass part holding the plastic gear in place would need to be taken out first.
