    1966 911 coupe unknown device

    I started to explore my recently bought 1966 911 and recognised a pretty strange looking device in the trunk (shown in the centre of the picture). Any help in identifying it is highly appreciated.

    I believe this is related to your Webasto heater system (look inside your "smuggler's box"). But the wiring seems to be incomplete. Others, more expert than I will confirm or deny with more detail.

    Thank you for your response; in the meanwhile I found out what it is: an alarm signal beeper. However I would be still interested about the approx. age any how it works.

    Definitely an aftermarket control.
