Color is not close. Did however find red leather to match original red leather used by Porsche in the day.
My old '66 (pictured in Post #8 above) came from the factory with red leather front seats. Everything else was vinyl. The leather had worn pretty severely but all the vinyl pieces were excellent. I had a spare set of fronts redone in leather to match the vinyl as pictured, and was very happy with that choice. Adding pepita to your car would be stunning.

Or go with both black and red full leather like the previous owner of one of my cars did for himself. Get mixed reactions to this, I like it.

If you go with the red interior, try to get a patinated one slightly on the dark side, bright red imho looks too new.

Color is not close. Did however find red leather to match original red leather used by Porsche in the day. Color spot on with a little differentiation in the texture but I think color is most important. So if I go red I would use red leather and if black I would go with the German Vinyl. Just wanted to update for thoughts and ideas. I know its personal preference and maybe I am trying to please everyone including myself. But I just wanted to throw it out there. I am an originality guy for sure as most are on this site. But these days a little personality may not be a bad thing and that slate grey car auctioned this year may confirm what I think is true in today's market in general.
Yet to find a red vinyl to come close to my original 1968 red door cards and quarter panels and have looked everywhere including on this board .... I don't think it exists - however I would love to be corrected.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.
