    Buying a 1975 911 turbo

Hi thanks for letting me join your forum !
    Im considering buying a 911 turbo , allegedly a 1975 , BUT
    I. Cannot make sense of the vin number , the plade reads as follows

    Typ 911 heizeinrichtung 911----- s66
    Fehrgestellnr 302465

This does not make sense to me !!!! Owner claims , its due to the car being a prototype ????
Im very sceptic , can anybody guide me in the right direction

    Let's see some pictures. 302465 would be a 1966 911 (or thereabouts).

    someone forged something here--
a 75 turbo which is a very rare bird would have a 9305xxxx vin and even if a proto it would not have a 66 vin
any pics of the engine bay

The stamping 'bump' on the trunk floor for a 30xxxx series car would have been narrower. And I don't think a genuine 75 car would have that plastic plug above the stamping for the gas heater lines. That car sure warrants more investigation.

And the aluminum plate looks correct but is held on the car with screws...

the plug is correct for a 75 but there is many 930 specific details that are not that easy to fake

parcel shelfe has an extra bump
the rear mounting points of the front A-arms
the rear slam pamel has a cutout to give clearance to the wiper motor
    rear torsion tube
    etc.

A 75 should have Porsche AG on the VIN Plate
