    911-Spotting

    My pleasure, Steve . . .

We have a LOT of information packed into these threads, by now. I book-mark some of it, but some of these topics come up only seldom, any more

Maybe we need a 'reference' thread, somewhere? . . . with examples of all the numbers, option codes, date stamps, etc that our cars have --- maybe break it down by year?

Maybe The Registry could even publish a hard-copy of this kind o' stuff --- like an Early 911 Spotters Guide. . .

    . . . raise a liiiiiiittle money doing it?

I was having a shot at the country codes and Cxx equipment bundles just for just one quite well documented model in 73 and there are various option lists on www but many gaps and reuse translation confuses the issue.

This one published on a website I'm not familiar with at least helpfully segments it by model and year but not totally convinced it is complete https://www.stuttcars.com/technical/option-codes/

Still haven't found the equipment that correspond code 123 which was found for model 73 was found on UK and French RS Cxx numbers -- can't think of too many things that unite Brits and French. Maybe with 123 a there was case of claret in the trunk of cars for these markets as pretty sure owners and imported of both countries liked that option and probably weight would've been reduced quite quickly once a corkscrew was found!

    One More Thing . . .

. . . I've never seen corduroy upholstery (just fr seats + headrests) on an original US-market 911 . . . only vinyl or leather --- or (very) occasionally pepita

REAL curious if anyone has a US-w/corduroy car
