    Hello,

Can anyone tell me who made this nudge/override bar, was it AMCO?

That does not look like it belongs on an early 911, don't see how it would protect anything even in a low speed collision!

Trust me, I definitely did not plan on keeping on there. It just got my curiosity.

Maybe it's not a nudge bar. It could be a badge bar, or a place to mount driving/fog lights. I don't think I have seen one on a 911, but they are frequently seen on 356's.
    Just a thought.

Wow! That’s interesting. So he’s claiming factory part, wonder if there’s a part#?

Does not say a Porsche part. NOS can be NOS for a n aftermarket part also. Just means its been on somebody's shelf and bot installed. Have seen this before as manufactured for 356s.

He did note “genuine Porsche product”
I saw one of these bars on an unrestored 1966 today.
It had rear bars too. But not the amco ones that are welded.
My brother had them on his 67 car. He said they were factory. The car had never been re-painted. In the late 70s. He took the bars off and they were in the garage for 20 yrs.
