Just had my grille off and it was fastened with Allen head bolts and regular nuts; no Nyloc nuts or lock washers present. Those fasteners are what were present when I got the car 41 years ago. Being curious as to what might be correct, I consulted PET and found it called for six "pan head screw M 5 x 12" and six "rubber washer," with nary a mention of bolts or nuts.

    As in the photos:

Originally: yellow zinc plated tall nylon lock nuts over DIN 9021 Aluminum over sized washers...don't forget the rubber washers (about the same dimensions as the aluminum washers, 2-3 mm thick, between the grill and lid.

    Thanks Mark

Are the allen head bolts the same as seat rail bolts or different?
