    Price check

Raising funds for a new acquisition.
I'm going to post my completely restored 70T coupe next week and the market seems to be all over the place. Trying to get an idea where to price for a quick sale; don't have time for any romance.

Silver/black, black/pepita sport seats, NOS dash, NOS door pockets, rebuilt matching number eng/trans, Weidman date stamped (yawn) deep 6's. Car is beautiful and will be sold with a warranty. I've owned for 7 years; time to move on.

For those who think this is an ad; fuggetaboutit.
No one; I repeat; No One will see photos until an ad is posted.

    Thank you.

    Frank,

Right here is a given, but...

Every place contains its own drama, aka pros & cons, but I've come to really like BaT (bringatrailer.com) both as a seller and buyer. So have several friends. If you decide to give them a chance call me for some insider tips.

I also believe Mike Fitton recently used them to sell a 914-6. Not sure how he felt about his experience.

Thanks Peter. I don’t mind doing the dance if I’m representing a customer car but on my own car my only fiduciary duty is toward my wife. And neither one of us have much patience for dramarama.

If you’re so inclined I would welcome a PM with the Inside Baseball On BaT.

    Thanks.

One thing about buying a car from you, Frank, would be the knowledge that it's in tip top running order. That should be quite valuable to a new owner. And the warranty is also quite a bonus.

Just went perusing through BaT. (Very nice Albert Blue '70S coupe Bill is selling!)

Don't think I've ever seen so many smartest-one-in-the-room types in one place. (Ok... maybe Paris Accord)

How do you not tell some of those windbags to go pound sand? LOL

Not sure that's a good fit for me after all...

Actually I had the same fear when I went this route, but it wasn't too bad. The goofy comments that you get pissed at you just need to realize that they are not the buyers they are the lurkers that just like to comment. I had a couple of comments I wasn't happy about and when I searched their posts on BAT that's all they did they weren't buyers. If you have a good car you will do alright I was hoping for $90k on my 914-6 and I got $82 with a $75k reserve so the big auction houses would have had to hammer at $90k to get me the $82K. The problem with RM & Gooding they wanted my car but no reserve! BAT cost me $100 bucks plus a photographer for some glamour pics.

The key seems to be ignoring useless/stupid comments and answer valid questions only.

Some sellers do not participate at all, or only very little. I didn't feel like I was all that participatory, and some said it was nice to see such an active seller. So...not sure what that says.

Frank, you raise a good question about "fit," though perhaps a little of your salt would do the BaT crowd some good.
