I really have no desire to piss off legit buyers. At least the troublemaker helped get the bidding up.
Peculiar things go on over there.
Lipstick covered pigs go for stupid money and some nice original cars don't even meet a reasonable reserve.

Thank you Eric.
Good detective work; didn't put that one together at all.
Headlined as Vic Skirmants’ 1964 Porsche 356C Coupe, sold on 5/2/18 for $119,356.
As I recall, most of the commentors were in awe of the Skirmants name--it might have added 10 or 20 k to the final price.

I was amazed that 1956 Porsche 356A European Coupe Project sold on 7/19/18 for $102,000 but the buyer knows far more about the 356 market and restoration costs than I (or pretty much all of us).

The ironic thing is the guy made some good money by just buying and holding, we sold that car about 5 years ago, it looks the same now. It was from an estate in FL, I remember it was funny when I was negotiating with the seller, one cousin who was tasked with dealing with all the "car" stuff. He accepted my price based on the fact that the final cut was split six ways, so quibbling over a few thousand didn't mean much because to him it was only a few hundred. Interesting way to look at it.

Love the video! Who is the A$$h0l3 that didn't like the video? Gawd I would love to have this car but the timing just isn't in the cards right now. Also, it's not Sepia so I'm not sure about the color.

Keep watching. A friend of mine's considering selling a car on Bring a Trailer and one of his 911s IS Sepia!

It's time to ramp things up.
The villain has definitely been identified in the story.
Mark,
I felt like I had won the Lotto when they handed me Guano! How could NO ONE have requested that before? Even if my auction crashes and burns I'll still walk away with my username. I'm completely humbled by my good fortune.
Pretty stoic crowd over there. Me thinks the right field tangents are a little confusing and possibly a turn off. Too bad... that's what makes public discussion often times interesting. I suspect most are Sergeant Friday types. Paul's timing in dropping the proverbial dookie in the middle of my auction was providential. It provides a weathered but beautiful mirror to reflect from.
Hoping the last 20 minutes of the auction turns into a cage fight.

Could not agree more,, The 2 cars are both 911 but thats where the similarities end. Paul is a wisen car dealer and as we all have been known to do in the past "leapt on the advertising campaign of others for a bit of free exposure"
This period of any online auction always flatlines and I hope that the last 20 do turn into a cage fight , only the real bare knuckle variety where the the blood and snot of the armchair critics can be left on the canvas for all to see.
