    The passing of real gentleman..

I just read the Jack Case passed away last month at 92... surviving his wonderful wife by a year and a half...
    https://www.pca.org/news/2015-08-06/...mber-passes-92

Almost 30 years ago Jack and Ginny Case were two of the first Porsche folks I met through the local PCA, and they were great...

At that time they had, but were thinking of selling, a '73S Targa so they could buy something a little newer...
I showed them my '73S and we hit it off right away...

They told me of driving out from the East Coast in their 356 in the '50's

We attended a couple of local PCA concourses, kind'a hung out, and became friends...
I loved hearing about the 'old Porsche days'...
From then on it's always been a firm handshake and pat on the back from Jack and a big hug from Ginny...

The next time I saw them was at the L.A. Lit Show where Jack said they were waiting for me to come around... They had since sold the '73 and were selling a complete set of factory manuals Jack had for the car... It seems Jack and Ginny were kind'a hiding the cardboard box with all the manuals until they saw me... bless their heart. Jack sold me the set for less than half the price they had on the box... saying... We want you to have these...

It's the set I have in my garage today... even with some personal notes Jack wrote...

They were the constant at our local PCA...

    Smooth roads Jack & Ginny...

If I'm not mistaken they were PCA charter members.

Wonderful people! I remember seeing the photos of Jack's 1960 Roadster with a 4-cam in it! True Porsche nuts!
