    The roof and hood seem to be original paint, the flares and doors were repainted in the same color.
    COA states paint to sample/99

    Beige grey metallic does go back to 1972, but quite rare. Beige grey non-metallic goes back further.
    I can get an engine # for the 1970's cars but not much else.

    The fact that the hood and roof are original paint would support my theory that Dick Smith did the work. He and his wife were the absolute go to painters in South Florida back in that era. They/she did paint work for Miles Collier, and would have been able to match the paint work of the factory, and you know the car had a South Florida connection having been sold in Miami. Stahl and John Paul were both involved in IMSA. Could be coincidences, but.....

    How do you do that? Mine is from Hawaii but I didn’t get any help from the DMV there.
