    Is this a rare option?

    I do not know if this was put in by the Porsche

    Found in a project car

    That they are wood blocks would lead me to believe that they are a home brew item.

    Factory would have been metal bolts to metal, with no bolts going into a butt-end joint in the wood.

    The reason i asked is that I once had a 356 Sport seat that had wood blocks at the base

    I would think if a car was equipped with this option, it must have been a special order car & not an off the show room floor purchase. Unless PORSCHE was over stocked on these? and made a few Marks on the sale by adding this option..... my 67 deluxe came with a set, among other options...... cliff

    The Speedster seat base was a complete base, not just two blocks.
