    Solex guys will appreciate...

    While disassembling a couple of old motors I found these Pierburg phenolic fuel pump spacers; they were using them as intake manifold insulators. Just goes to show what people did back in the day when now-rare parts were commonplace.
    The 69T used a similar spacer but it was thicker if I remember correctly.

    Moot point now as Kurt from Parts Klassik has them reproduced.

    Yup, that's pretty cool. Not only deemed commonplace, but 'otherwise useless' back then.
