Curious why the wheel change? A 71 s wouldn’t have had deep 6s with hearts.

Maybe I got it wrong - but my car is an early production 1971 and I thought those would have hearts ? The existing wheels are flat 6

Could be wrong but I think the switch over was in March of 71.

That was the switch over from deep to flat. March 1971.

Some ambiguity on switch from hearts to no hearts. Some say August 1970 and some say about November 1970.

    From another post...
I'm sure Harvey will give the definitive answer but for what it's worth let me share my knowledge (keep in mind that I'm metally challenged primarily from age). All S's had 15" Fuchs so the omission on the COA is nothing to worry about. I believe the deep 6's had hearts up to 11/70. Thereafter they were w/o Hearts and then switched to Flat 6's....

Decided to get all the interior out. Smell is almost gone. I also removed the alarm system and radio and managed to get all the wiring, except the door lights, to work again. The car has had one re-spray in its life, but it looks like they left the door jambs alone. The good news is that the car is really sound. And everything except the clock seems to work. In addition, it doesn’t appear that anyone has taken much apart on the car. Most parts look original.
