    Greetings Hugh,

Thanks for the information and look forward of the engine bay pics :-)
The information I have about those 68L transam cars are:
#20 (and sometimes #18) . is 11810429 - white car (the one I seek information from)
#22 is 11810482 - have pics of it in white livery and burgundy
    #5,#7 (mainly) or #36 is 11810486 - red livery

    This is exiting.

    All the best.

there is a big difference in the engine bay between 911L FIA Gp2 track cars like those Trans Am ones and the Gp2 rally cars
the engine bay on the rallye cars looks stock whereas the track cars have the air cleaners aff etc

I have some photos of different versions in documents that i will email you directly
    On the 3 PART trans am cars car #21 is a 67 (308107S) but the other two cars are L's I understand - #20 1181042 and #21 11810482 (I think)
however given they were built up as team cars I suspect the detailing in the engine bay would be very similar, if not the same across all 3 cars.

Found engine bay pics from #20 11810429 but looks like not original one - twin spark plugs, black fan etc....which I may be wrong, looks like post modifications.

Group 2 cars have stock, same as every other 68 911 engine bay. Group 3 and the TA cars have no undercoating or sound pads and are painted semi black. See my site http://www.Porsport.com under collection for the 21 car which is pretty close as there are some concessions to race the car and my 68 911 group 3 car. The engine compartment is as it should be more or less...

Also 21 never ran as 5 , 7 or 36. That red car is a 65 911 of Wilber Picket. Hope this helps.
